Validation Meeting for NDC3.0 and the COP30 priorities
Rwanda has embarked on the process of updating its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to develop NDC 3.0, reinforcing its commitment to ambitious climate action and sustainable development. As part of this process, a High-Level Validation Workshop is being convened to present the updated draft of NDC 3.0 and seek input from key national stakeholders.
In addition, the workshop will serve as a platform to present and discuss Rwanda’s priorities and preparatory roadmap for the upcoming COP30, ensuring a well-coordinated national position ahead of the negotiations.
To present the draft of Rwanda’s NDC 3.0 for review, feedback, and validation by stakeholders.
To build consensus and secure political and technical buy-in for the updated NDC.
To present Rwanda’s proposed priorities for COP30 and gather stakeholder input to strengthen the country’s position.
To foster collaboration and coordination among national institutions and partners on climate action.
The workshop is organized by the Ministry of Environment (MoE) through the Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA), in collaboration with key national stakeholders and development partners.
