30th Conference of the Parties (COP30)

Introduction

The 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will take place in Belém, Brazil, from 10 to 21 November 2025. This major global climate conference will bring together world leaders, negotiators, civil society, private sector actors, and development partners to accelerate collective action towards achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Rwanda will participate actively at COP30 to showcase its progress in climate action, contribute to shaping global climate policies, and advocate for the priorities of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Africa.

Purpose

  • To represent Rwanda in global climate negotiations and advocate for national and regional priorities.

  • To promote Rwanda’s climate policies, strategies, and achievements on the international stage.

  • To engage with partners and mobilize climate finance, technology, and capacity-building support.

  • To strengthen Rwanda’s role as a leader in innovative climate solutions and carbon markets.

  • To enhance coordination and knowledge-sharing among the Rwandan delegation and stakeholders.
