This portal serves as an information hub on climate change in Rwanda and provides a platform for the public and stakeholders to discuss, network and share climate change knowledge and data to support Rwanda to become a developed, carbon-neutral and resilient nation.

Rwanda Climate Change Portal

The Rwanda Climate Change Portal aims to inform the public, partners, students and researchers about how the country is affected by and responding to climate change. The portal shares information about Rwanda’s laws, policies and strategies that are fostering climate action and green investment as well as data on the country’s greenhouse gas emissions and how Rwanda is working to become a developed, carbon-neutral and climate resilience nation by 2050. 

Through the portal, learn about Rwanda’s Climate Action Plan, Green Growth and Climate Resilience Strategy, as well as the country’s emerging carbon market and latest news. The portal aims to inspire citizens and friends of Rwanda to contribute to mitigation and adaptation and build the country’s resilience to climate change. Partners working on climate change issues in Rwanda can join the Rwanda Climate Change Portal forum, a space to share and discuss insights on climate change, activities, events, and research.

Origin

The Rwanda Climate Change Portal was created to support implementation of the country’s Green Growth and Climate Resilient Strategy by enhancing knowledge creation and sharing, especially between the government, citizens and partners.

The Rwanda Climate Change Portal aims to provide information on climate change in Rwanda, create awareness about the country’s Green Growth and Climate Resilient Strategy and inspire action to address climate change and build resilience.
