COP30
The 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) will take place from 10–21 November 2025 in Belém, Brazil, marking a pivotal moment for global climate ambition. Hosted in the Amazon, a symbol of nature’s critical role in climate stability, COP30 will focus on accelerating action to keep 1.5°C within reach and advance the new global finance architecture for resilience and sustainability. At COP30, Rwanda’s delegation will showcase its integrated approach to climate action through innovation, investment, and partnership.
At COP30, Rwanda will:
1. Advance the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance, and advocate for equitable, predictable, and accessible resources for developing countries.
2. Present its updated Climate Action Plan (NDC 3.0) and launch the Rwanda Country Platform for Climate and Development, which together outline a clear, costed pathway toward a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy by 2035.
3. Position Rwanda as a preferred destination for green investment, underpinned by the Rwanda Green Fund’s 2030 Strategy, Ireme Invest, and the Rwanda Green Taxonomy.
4. Showcase ambition in climate and nature finance, carbon markets, and locally led adaptation, demonstrating how political will can translate into measurable impact
